We are currently using it on a Tekla project for synthesis and our site teams are using Trimble Connect on tablets to view the models. The IFCs, compiled on Tekla beforehand, are deposited on the Trimble Connect servers for inter-company sharing.
The two software being identical in terms of viewing, my opinion is the same on both:
Very fluid, easy to use (the site managers can use it) and the possibility of creating notes. Very good for synthesis!

For information, latest version of eveBIM has evolved well. If you notice a malfunction, you can put your comments on the forum or by email to eveBIM-support@cstb.fr.

Here is an example of how-to video:

Hello Mohamed, a little while ago, I tested and published screenshoots on different viewers. I'll leave it to you to find the discussion again. (Before BATIMAT )

Hello, I am developing a web application that manages the real estate assets of a company (asset referencing, diagnostic missions, insulation, works ...).

I had the idea of integrating an IFC viewer to be able to visualize the IFCs stored in our server. I used the Autodesk forge API (PHP code, JavaScript) which seems to me to be a good answer if necessary (despite the difficulties encountered during the loading of the file and its transformation into an svf format ready to be viewed), but the solution remains chargeable.

my questions are:
1 / is there a doc which shows how to load the IFC file then transform it into SVF format, knowing that I used the code proposed by the forge autodesk but it does not work?
the links of the code proposed by the forge:
https://github.com/Autodesk-Forge/forge-php-client/blob/master/docs/Api/DerivativesApi.md#translate

https://github.com/Autodesk-Forge/forge-php-client/blob/master/docs/Api/ObjectsApi.md#uploadobject

2 / Are there any open source APIs of a viewer to call from my application code to view my files stored in the server? (I looked at BIMserver but it's mostly java code).

I thank you in advance

For BIMx, it is very interesting and really accessible on tablet use. On the other hand, it remains too linked with ArchiCad ... Too bad!

Hello everybody

In addition to this list, we could also cite "BIM Collab Zoom" and of course, Navisworks Freedom which also reads IFCs.

Regarding each software, do you think it is possible to add the main functionalities? For example: Viewer, Clash detection, Quantity extraction, IFC compiler, Modification of IFC properties, IFC Import / Export, Annotations, etc.

For example, I was able to test BIM Vision, Solibri, Navis, XBIM, and SimpleBIM. It turns out that SimpleBIM is the only such software, according to what I've tested, that can actually manage and modify IFC information and element properties, not just view them. It is not the most beautiful 3D viewer, but it is the most powerful "IFC information viewer" in my opinion.

Sincerely.
