Hello,

With the aim of removing m3 of concrete per element from a structure model. I notice that basic when attaching a beam to a slab, the slab is "priority" to take the common part of the volume.
The solution I found is to switch the junctions between the beam and the slab. Wouldn't it be possible to make this junction default? Or automation ect ...

Otherwise the beam volumes are wrong… Do you have a solution to that?

Thank you beforehand,

Hello William,

Hexabim is a platform dedicated to BIM and not to software.
Which one are you talking about?

http://www.objectif-bim.com/index.php/logiciels/logiciels-bim/logiciels-bim-architecture

I suspect that you do not mention the analysis of an openBIM IFC model because the volume of an IFC occurrence depends on the modeling software and especially on its openBIM export parameters.

I am also guessing that if you are talking about an IFC, this one probably does not come from Archicad which induces (at equivalent materials) the priority to the beam before the slab: which I believe is your wish.

Via Archicad the principle (basic is illustrated as follows):

Finally, note that depending on the export parameters of an IFC model, it can change its volumetry and / or the decomposition of its slab, wall, beam, column, etc. occurrences.

Hello Christopher,

Thanks for your feedback, actually I didn't mention but I'm talking about Revit. Not necessarily in the IFC, the idea would be to extract concrete volumes from the Revit model. Either by exporting these quantities to a DeviSoc type software or in Excel format.
