I replace here a discussion that I had initially placed in the "Revit" group:

Hello,
in order to create a DOE mockup where each company would model its batch, is it possible to attach the geometry of 2 walls when one of the 2 is in a linked file? After a 1st try, a priori no ... but there may be a way around?
Let me explain: the BE concrete creates its concrete model, which is then used as a link to make the model of the partitions. Can the painting company add a "paint" wall (very thin ...) on the concrete and partition walls using the 2 other models in links, then "attach the geometry" so that the doors and windows cross this layer well?

Daniel Hurtubise:
"No. You cannot" cut "elements from a link file"

Benoît LECRIOUX:
"Aië ... What is the method to adopt suddenly so that each company adds its part to the final model? The question arises especially for the finishing batches."

So on revit I cannot answer, but on ALLPLAN yes .. The second work lot is independent ..
In this second work package I can put the wall paint, the ceiling elements in multi-layer, and the floor in multi-layer, multi-material with multi-thickness and add plinths.
