Having nearly 12 years of experience in companies and agencies such as Norpac affiliate Bouygues-Construction et AIA, mastering all aspects of BIM from training to deployment, we will discover his background, his "full BIM" projects, his favorite tools, we will especially discover the role of the BIM coordinator or BIM manager if you prefer and his 8 main missions !

Your series " Member of the week "continues and we are pleased to present to you a new talent in this small world of BIM, we are going to land today in the beautiful neighboring country Luxembourg to meet Laurent HENIN, BIM manager at BalliniPitt Architects Urban Planners, an architectural firm in the heart of Luxembourg. Laurent joined us last January a few weeks after the launch of hexaBIM. He will tell us about his BIM journey which does not date from yesterday, he has been doing it since 2002, he will tell us about his BIM projects as well as the work methodologies used, his experience as a BIM manager, of the multitude of tools he uses on a daily basis to succeed in his projects, what he thinks of BIM in Luxembourg compared to France, Laurent will present his blog to us BIMblog.lu, a wealth of information and good practices, it talks about openBIM, Cobie and many other subjects.

I am pleased to launch with you today a new series of weekly spots dedicated to hexaBIM members: Member of the week ! Each week we will put a member of the community in the spotlight and we will discuss with him about his projects, his achievements and his career.

We are not far from 900 members to date, so theoretically we will be able to hold this series until February 2018 (I did the math, trust me ^^) The opening of this season is done with Floris HERBERT, Revit designer at Bouygues Construction.

Emmanuel Di Giacomo, that sounds Italian! We have the grandson of Salvatore Di Giacomo, the famous Italian poet !?

Yes, it is of Italian origin indeed, and the other half is French :) I am not the grandson of Salvatore, nor of Franco, the famous film photographer. Just a distant cousin of Alan Stivell from my Breton origins.

4 months ago BIM practices blew out its 1st candle with its 447 members, Bernard FERRIES master assistant in computer science at ENSA Toulouse created this group in September 2013, assisted by Olivier CELNIK, co-director of the Specialized Master in BIM at the Ecole des Ponts ParisTech - ESTP and associate architect at ZSTUDIO, today the number of members has almost doubled and that in less than 4 months!
